Company Philosophy

Winslow's main objective has always been to produce the highest quality precision turned parts, on time, and at a reasonable cost to our customers. A commitment to Lean Manufacturing is the cornerstone of Winslow’s approach to solve productivity problems. For Winslow innovative problem solving and continuous improvement of existing processes married with appropriate technological investment yields superior results with less cost. This philosophy makes it possible for Winslow to produce large quantity precision turned part production runs or small quantity experimental production cheaper than our competition. This is also the reason that Winslow has been able to serve very diverse industries. Winslow is a recognized aerospace contract manufacturer and aircraft part & equipment manufacturer who has provided precision jet engine parts, components for the space shuttle program, parts for orbiting satellites in addition to high-speed train brake components for transportation industries and experimental dental implants for medial manufacturers. If you need parts made, Winslow's precision machining services can produce them.

George Podlasek began Winslow Automatics in 1956 with a contract to produce a single airframe fastener. His organization was comprised of two employees, two machines, and a 3,000 square foot plant in New Britain, Connecticut. Under his leadership, Winslow's name became synonymous with quality, reliability and productivity. Today, under the guidance of his grandson, J. George Podlasek, and granddaughter, Wendi P. Scata, this family-owned business has grown to over 65,000 square feet of climate controlled manufacturing area; and 10,000 square feet of office facility. But, the basic mission of Winslow Automatics has never changed; produce high quality parts, on time, and at a reasonable price.

Awards in Precision Metal Working

Winslow Automatics, Inc. recognizes the importance of quality in precision metalworking. Our reputation precision machining services is built on the ability to meet the needs of industrial and aerospace technologies with precise machining capabilities and problem solving design ingenuity to produce high quality precision turned parts. This ingenuity and quality has been recognized with numerous quality awards from both Pratt & Whitney Aircraft and The United States Air Force.

Precision CNC Machining and Engineering Services

Supported by the latest in CNC machining, Winslow engineers and CNC milling and turning specialists work closely with the customer to insure that materials and production methods will result in a superior product. Computerization and CNC programming of our precision machining manufacturing facility was completed in mid-1992 allowing our engineering staff to design & experiment with part production for each CNC milling machine prior to ever actually milling or tuning a chip. Production status information is available through our real-time data collection network and is constantly monitored to assure optimum utilization of equipment, high quality cnc turning, minimum product handling, and prompt answers to customer questions.

Superior metalworking facilities and equipment make it possible for Winslow's engineering department to accept large precision machining metalworking projects in their entirety, or take on any part of the manufacturing process required by our customers.
